Zoot Suit defiantly defined Los Angeles in the early 1940’s, not to mention the Mexican American community. It was considered a Mexican crime wave. Of course the Zoot Suit riots went down in history but what caught my eye about this epic era was the fashion. This photo is from the movie “Zoot Suit” which I grew up watching with my grandpa and is still to this day on of my favorite movies. The actor Edward James Olmos played the lead so perfectly. This Pachuco y Pachuca 40’s fashion is what I will be bringing back. Catch me mobbin.
